It has been about 30 years since Dental Implants became possible, even if the patients lost their teeth due to tooth decay or periodontal disease. Many dentists nationwide, including members of the International Society of Oral Implantology (ISOI), are now practicing Implant treatment as we aim for patients' QOL. However, simultaneously, there is a rising number of medical accidents and issues due to practitioners' mistakes while providing treatments.
Therefore, ISOI has a mission to help solve this issue by providing knowledge and skills to our society's members through seminars on various topics such as management, legal consultation, and surgical technology. As a result, the practitioners would acquire the necessary knowledge and skill while the patients would have quality and safe dental treatment.
The ISOI is a branch of the "German Oral Implant Society" (DGZI), the oldest implant society in Europe, supporting and promoting implantology. Our support and network in the international implant society and your effort make it possible for you to aim to be certified as an international implant specialist, which would give you recognition and trust.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and control measures, it wasn't easy to host a face-to-face seminar in the past few years. Even though we faced the pandemic, the number of patients increased. In addition, the sponsoring company shared that the implant treatment continues to develop, and the challenges of changing or mixing techniques grow. Therefore, practitioners' knowledge and skills must be up-to-date to provide the optimal treatment for the patients. So, we turned the seminar format into an online or hybrid, making it convenient and safe for everyone.
